Arab Health drives $269.7M in economic impact, paving the way for healthcare innovation and growth in Dubai.

Arab Health was once again a cornerstone event in the Dubai economy. A contribution of $269.7 million from the 2024 edition is expected in the tourism, hospitality sectors, logistics, and healthcare sectors.

Arab Health 2024 attracted more than 58,000 visitors and more than 3,600 exhibitors from 180 countries, data from Informa revealed. The event accounted for $56.2 million in accommodation spend, with participants staying for an average of 5.7 nights. Food and beverage expenditure was $24.5 million.

Visitor and exhibitor numbers are expected to be growing year-on-year, projections for 2026-2028 suggesting that the economic impact will reach $1.2 billion and accommodation spend will reach $341.6 million.

Planning the 2025 Edition

The Arab Health 2025 will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 27 to 30 January. It is expected to feature more than 3,800 exhibitors and 60,000 visitors. According to Ross Williams, Group Event Director at Informa Markets, “this is the legacy of this event”.

“Arab Health has been a catalyst for Dubai’s economic and healthcare transformation for the past 50 years. The 2025 edition will celebrate this legacy, fostering collaborations that will shape the future of healthcare globally.”

Since its inception back in 1975, Arab Health has evolved from being a regional gathering of 40 exhibitors to being the global platform driving healthcare advancements from digital imaging in the 1980s through today’s AI-based diagnostics.

50 Years of Innovation

The milestone 50th edition will host transformative events, including the Future Health Summit, which will spotlight emerging healthcare trends and technologies. Arab Health will also introduce the World of Wellness and Healthcare ESG Forum, focusing on sustainability, wellness, and green innovations aligned with Dubai’s vision for a technology-driven future.

The Astronaut Al Worden Endeavour Scholarship, a collaboration to nurture aspiring scientists and engineers, will also feature during the event, emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to nurturing talent worldwide in healthcare and science.

Conferences and Forums

A host of medical professionals attending Arab Health 2025 will take in nine Continuing Medical Education-accredited conferences on radiology, surgery, public health, and more. Also held: Forums discussing women in healthcare, digital health, AI, and investing opportunities. 

New Features for 2025

The Al Mustaqbal Hall will be a new exhibitor zone, which presents first-time participants and an Eco-sphere, dynamic health and well-being space. This space will host exhibitors specializing in healthcare services, wellness, prevention, orthopaedics, and physiotherapy.

It is expected that the Arab Health 2025 will be undertaken by key government entities such as the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, Dubai Health Authority, and Dubai Healthcare City Authority to emphasize its place in advancing healthcare innovation and cooperation on a global scale.
