Founded by Rohan Shravan, Manish Giri, and Srikanth Kannada, Inkers Technology wants to bring about digital transformation in the construction industry. The company focuses on critical challenges that prevent sustainable growth for infrastructure projects across India and beyond. Using the latest technologies like computer vision, deep neural networks, and hardware-level acceleration, Inkers has developed an integrated video processing pipeline designed to optimize data handling in construction.
Inkers’ flagship product, Observance, is an AI-powered platform that reads through complex construction data in the form of point cloud data, images, BIM models, and project schedules. It enables converting that data into actionable insights so that construction teams can be proactive in identifying potential issues and streamline workflows to gain major time and cost savings.
The platform is capable of scanning up to 100,000 square feet of construction area in just one hour, generating comprehensive analytics, as-built models, defect reports, and schedule updates within 24 to 48 hours. This advanced capability allows for hyper-accurate as-built 3D models enriched with thermal maps, facilitating faster resolution of BIM conflicts and real-time updates on construction progress.
Since its launch, the Observance has been used over 150 sites across significant Indian cities such as Bangalore, NCR, Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The technology has scanned over 250 million square feet of construction area and has processed over 2 petabytes of data, proving effective in the field.
In summary, Bengaluru-based proptech startup Inkers Technology secured $3 million in funding in a Series A funding round led by Ashish Kasholia from Lucky Investments. The funds will support the enhancement of its AI-powered platform, Observance – which optimizes construction data processing and has been applied across over 150 sites in India, scanning over 250 million square feet.
With this new round of funding, Inkers Technology is well-equipped to expand its offerings and increase its market presence while continuing to innovate in the proptech sector. The company has a strong commitment to AI and advanced technology as the means to revolutionize the construction industry and make it more efficient and sustainable.
