The notion of Ayurveda and its associated disciplines will soon be acquainted in veterinary sciences with the ministries agitated signing a fundamental treaty to this influence. An MoU was signed between the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Ministry of AYUSH on April 7, an official statement declared.
The MoU encourages research and development with advanced research on new formulations and articulations in quality drugs for veterinary science through medicinal herbs.
This cooperation benefits from promoting an administrative mechanism for the use of Ayurveda in the veterinary sector for the interest of animal health, livestock owners’ community and the society at extension, the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying declared in a statement.
The ambition entails potential building the framework in related domains through training, traversing marketing potentialities for herbal veterinary medicines consistently and catering for services incorporating cultivation, preservation and conservation of medicinal plants.
As well Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying added, ” The cooperation will help in developing herbal veterinary education programmes and creating awareness among dairy farmers and agro-farmers about utilization and importance of herbal veterinary medicine and cultivation of medicinal herbs. “
