According to The Verge, a WABetaInfo report says WhatsApp is rolling out support for custom avatars in Android’s latest beta 2.22.23.9, but only for a few users.
Users with access to this feature will see a new avatar category in the Settings menu that can be used to customize the digital version.
Like other meta-apps, WhatsApp creates a set of avatar stickers in different poses that users can use to express themselves when sending messages to family and friends.
The feature was first spotted on WABetaInfo last month but is now available to users. As reported by The Verge, it’s not yet clear when WhatsApp will roll out this feature to all Android users or when they plan to add the feature to iOS.
