The company, which sells cars under the BMW and Mini brands and motorcycles under the BMW Motorrad brand, plans to launch eight new items in the nation during the next eight weeks.
With 2022 being the strongest year ever in terms of sales, luxury manufacturer BMW India anticipates volume to stay strong in 2023 as it tries to drive in numerous models, including the electric sedan i7.
“We are certain that the sales surge will continue. We’ll have even better items next year. We’re starting with eight large releases, three of which are really big things, so I’m feeling quite good. We will continue to develop rapidly in 2023 “BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah told PTI in an interaction.
He was responding to a question about whether the firm will be able to continue sales growth in the coming year.
Pawah stated that the domestic vehicle market is in a strong phase that is likely to last till 2023.
“People are looking at buying cars they have always dreamt of..families are looking at driving (for) holidays..so all this will help carry forward the momentum,” he added.
There were certain economic obstacles, such as inflation and rising interest rates, but these could be addressed with new goods and market traction, according to Pawah.
Elaborating on the current year, he said: “In the car division if we look at both BMW and Mini brands, we are growing by around 40 per cent year-on-year already (November-end). This is going to be a defining year for us as we have already crossed the best ever sales number.” BMW India had sold 10,405 cars in 2018, its best yearly sales performance till date.
Last year, the business delivered 8,236 BMWs and 640 Minis. Pawah stated that BMW now has one of the strongest electric car portfolios in the country, and that the business would introduce more vehicles next year.
“Over the following eight weeks, we will add to that selection. It will also contain the i7 early next year “Pawah said.
BMW has already begun product releases, releasing three goods on Saturday. The new M340i xDrive, priced at Rs 69.2 lakh, was presented by the firm (ex-showroom). It also unveiled the XM, an electric sports utility vehicle priced at Rs 2.6 crore.
