More than 30,000 layoffs in Indian tech sector in last two years
According to Layoffs.fyi, an online platform that tracks tech layoffs since the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 30,000 people have lost their jobs in India’s tech sector.
The taxi platform lost 1,400 jobs or 35% of its workforce in May 2020. As part of its latest development, the company has laid off 200 vertical employees as part of a restructuring.
