SpiceJet plans to raise new funds this week.

SpiceJet said the airline would consider a share offering on a preferred basis at this week’s board meeting.

Launched in May 2005, SpiceJet was piloted by Ajay Singh and the Kansagra family.

The airline aims to compete with Indian Railways’ air-conditioned buses and, of course, provide better passenger services.
