A US regulator has filed a lawsuit against Binance and its CEO for ‘willful evasion.’

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance and its CEO, Changpeng Zhao, was sued by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Monday.

The CFTC charged Binance and its CEO Zhao, and the company’s former senior compliance officer.

Zhao, a billionaire born in China and raised in Canada from the age of 12, described the CFTC’s allegation.
