The ability to share status updates to Facebook stories without exiting WhatsApp will be optional. It will be disabled by default.
WhatsApp is a free messaging app that is owned by Facebook. It is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. One of the key features of WhatsApp is its end-to-end encryption, which ensures that messages and calls are only visible to the sender and receiver.
WhatsApp has become an essential tool for communication and social interaction, both for personal and professional purposes.
It is widely used by businesses to communicate with customers, as well as by individuals to stay in touch with friends and family who may be located in different parts of the world.
Meta-owned instant messaging service WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will enable users to post their status updates to Facebook stories without exiting WhatsApp. The feature was discovered in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.7.0.75 update by WaBetaInfo.
Sharing a screenshot of the new feature, the report says that it will enhance the way a status update is shared to Facebook Story. The report states that WhatsApp users will always be in control over their status updates as they can determine which status updates are always shared.
Additionally, the ability to share status updates to Facebook stories without exiting WhatsApp will be optional. It will be disabled by default. In case a user wants to enable the feature, they can travel to the status privacy settings. The feature can be disabled at any time.

The new ability will enable users to save time and effort in manually sharing their status updates as the status update will be shared as a Facebook Story without exiting WhatsApp. As mentioned above, the new feature is presently under development and will be available in a future update of the program.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is working on the capacity to create channels on WhatsApp. The feature will be a tool “for disseminating information, allowing users to readily receive valuable updates from other individuals they want to get updates from.”
A WaBetaInfo report says that channels on WhatsApp will be available as a distinct and elective component within the Status tab. The section will be dubbed ‘Updates’. In the future, the Status tab will have a revised interface for status updates.
On the privacy front, a WhatsApp channel will not disclose the user’s phone number and other information. Such details will remain concealed. But, communications received within a channel won’t be end-to-end encrypted. In case you are oblivious, private communications shared on WhatsApp both individual and WhatsApp group conversations offer end-to-end encryption. This means that no one can read these messages, except the sender and receiver.
