Reactions to Messages

Telegram users can now respond to messages with emojis. The feature is now accessible on iMessage, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram, but it will soon be available on Telegram as well. “Telegram was the first messaging software to include animated and interactive emoji, providing users with unprecedented opportunities to express themselves in discussions.” “Some of these emoji are now available as reactions to convey sentiments and feedback without sending any messages,” the business wrote in a blog post.

Simply double a message to deliver a Thumbs Up reaction when responding to a message with emoji. To send additional emojis, press once on the message and select from the list of emojis. Only private chats, groups, and channels can use reactions; admins select whether to enable reactions and which reaction emoji are available in the conversation.

When typing, users can pick any area of their text and choose the new ‘Spoiler’ formatting. When you choose Spoiler, the selected part of the message is hidden in the chat, as well as in the chat list and notifications.

Translation of Messages

Message Translation is by far one of the most significant functions to be included in messaging software. Fortunately, Telegram was the first app to receive it. Users can now translate any communication into another language directly within the app. Translation can be enabled under Settings>Languages. When you choose a message, a new Translate button is added to the context menu. Users can also choose to exclude any languages in which they are fluent, which will hide the translate button for those messages. The translation is available on all Android smartphones that support Telegram, however, Apple devices require iOS 15 or later. The list of supported languages is determined by the operating system of your phone.
