Pitchers will get one last chance to pitch their company ideas to the sharks in a special episode of Shark Tank India called Gateway to Shark Tank.
On February 4, the first season of the famous reality shows Shark Tank India came to an end, much to the dismay of viewers. However, the show is poised to return, although for a limited time. Shaadi.com founder and CEO Anupam Mittal, one of the “sharks,” tweeted a preview for a special episode of the show on social media on Thursday.
Anupam said on Instagram, alongside a video of the forthcoming special episode of Shark Tank India, “Looks like I got ahead of the game… on @sonylivindia, @sharktank.india continues. In the Gateway to the #SharkTankIndia Special Episode, the pitchers will get one more chance to pitch their business.”

On Shark Tank India, aspiring entrepreneurs submitted their business ideas to a panel of tycoons, or sharks, who gave their money and expertise in exchange for a piece of the action. From December to February, the show ran on Sony Entertainment Television at 9 p.m. on weekdays.
Gateway to Shark Tank is the title of the special episode, which will premiere on SonyLiv on February 11th. Pitchers who have been inspired by the show will have one more chance to pitch their ideas to the sharks in this episode. It will not air on Sony Entertainment Television, unlike the other episodes of the show.
Apart from Anupam, the show featured Ashneer Grover (co-founder and managing director of BharatPe), Peyush Bansal (Lenskart co-founder and CEO), Aman Gupta (co-founder and chief marketing officer at boAt), Vineeta Singh (CEO and co-founder of SUGAR Cosmetics), Ghazal Alagh (co-founder of Mamaearth), and Namita Thapar (co-founder of Mamaearth (executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals).
The show was a big success, and the sharks became celebrities in their own right. Several scenes from the episode, as well as the sharks’ statements, became Internet memes. Another special Shark Tank India episode will air on February 11th, titled Getting Candid with the Sharks, in which stand-up comedian Abish Mathew will interview the seven sharks.
