Three innovative electric scooters will be unveiled today by Ather Energy. The eagerly anticipated event is scheduled at noon and will be broadcast on YouTube. The business has formally announced the debut of a trio of new scooters after releasing a number of early teases. While the Ather 450S’s identity has been made public, the other two options are shrouded in obscurity.

In order to increase Ather Energy’s market share in the extremely competitive electric scooter sector, the Ather 450S is positioned to be a more affordable electric scooter. This product is projected to immediately compete with the soon-to-be-released Ola S1 Air.

The Ather 450S is anticipated to have a similar design to the Ather 450X, with comparable aesthetic aspects like LED headlights, streamlined indicators, and a distinctive LED taillight. There might, however, be a difference in the instrument cluster. The Ather 450S is believed to include a non-touch LCD display to set it apart from the 450X’s fully touchscreen user interface.

A smaller 2.9 kWh battery pack will power the next model, giving it a range of 115 km and a top speed of 90 km/h. The beginning price is officially set at ₹1,29,999 by the corporation.

There is currently a lack of information on the other models, however, Ather may release new iterations based on the Ather 450X platform. The 450X’s costs have increased as a result of a recent change to the FAME-2 subsidy program, and they now range from 1.47 lakh to 1.67 lahks. The Ather 450S, in contrast, is designed to start out at a lower cost. The price difference between these two models may be filled by an intermediary variation that acts as a connection.

According to reports, the 7-inch TFT touchscreen seen in the 450X will be swapped out for a more affordable LCD one in the Ather 450S. The 450X’s highest speed of 90 km/h might not change. In addition, a motor that is a little bit less potent than the one that serves as the brand’s flagship is possible.

The Ather 450S is anticipated to take center stage. This new entrant, which targets the somewhat more cheap electric scooter market, is positioned to battle with rivals like the Ola S1 Air and TVS iQUBE. The flagship Ather 450X electric scooter may potentially receive an upgrade at the same time as the Ather 450S.
