The joint endeavour intends to provide senior faculty and academic leaders with a thorough grasp of AI and Data Science while simultaneously placing a strong emphasis on the moral ramifications of using AI technologies for immersive learning.
A Faculty Development Programme in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science has been launched by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in collaboration with the Jio Institute. This is being started as part of AICTE’s ATAL (AICTE Training and Learning) project, which helps faculty members from institutions that have received AICTE approval to upgrade and re skill their abilities.
This 5-day residential faculty development workshop will be held at Jio Institute as the host institution.The course will be launched on August 21st, 2023, by Prof. TG Sitharam, Chairman of the AICTE.
With a focus on the ethical issues surrounding the use of AI technologies for immersive learning, the collaborative endeavour intends to provide senior Faculty and academic leaders with a thorough grasp of AI and Data Science. For forty chosen AICTE members, including faculty, the curriculum will offer intense training.
This collaboration with the Jio Institute serves as an example of our dedication to promoting cutting edge education that equips our faculty with the skills necessary to tackle future challenges. It enables us to provide educators with the abilities they need to negotiate complex educational environments, underscoring our commitment to academic achievement, said AICTE Chairman Prof. TG Sitharaman.
The curriculum will examine the broad effects of AI and data sciences on industries like science, engineering, healthcare, and liberal arts. It will cover a wide range of topics, including data visualisation, natural language processing, time series & optimisation, applications, generative AI, and large language models.
