Nearly every region of the nation, even distant and inaccessible locations, is connected to the rest of the nation via Indian Railways. For millions of individuals who may not otherwise have access to transportation, especially in rural regions, it offers an economical form of mobility.
One of the biggest employers in the nation, Indian Railways employs millions of people both directly and indirectly. Both urban and rural residents rely heavily on it as a source of income.
Indian Railways, which transports millions of tonnes of commodities annually, including raw materials, completed goods, and agricultural products, is the lifeblood of the nation’s economy. Compared to driving, it is a less expensive and more environmentally friendly means of transportation.
According to an official, the standard gauge carriages are for the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Phase-II project.
