Gati Ltd., a supplier of logistics and supply chain solutions and a member of the Allcargo Group, has teamed up with Tech Mahindra to create Gati Enterprise Management System (GEMS) 2.0.
The key operational software system for Gati, GEMS 2.0, seeks to provide a better client experience and a more technologically advanced user interface while boosting productivity and cutting expenses.
Gati stated in a statement that the cloud-native software application, which utilizes Tech Mahindra’s expertise, reiterates the organization’s commitment and investment toward next-generation digital transformation and Cloud efforts.
According to the statement, the alliance is concentrated on replacing Gati’s traditional application with a cloud-based, digital, scalable, and more agile application for operational excellence and the best possible customer experience.

Our partnership with Gati in designing and developing GEMS 2.0 will help the organization boost productivity, unlock new business opportunities, scale performance, and lead the tech-led transformation narrative in the express logistics segment,” said Vivek Agarwal, president – APJI (Enterprise), Corporate Development, Tech Mahindra.
Gati will be able to completely custom-create GEMS 2.0 over the course of the following 18 to 24 months with Tech Mahindra, encompassing all first-mile, mid-mile, and last-mile activities. The program will be created in modules including, but not limited to, pick-up, delivery, en route, client contracts, and billing.

With an infrastructure created and developed in the cloud, a mobile and security-first architectural approach, and a micro-services-based and event-driven through rule engines architecture, GEMS 2.0 will have an objective of delivering consistent performance across the company’s geography of operations.
GEMS 2.0 will make considerable use of data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML), as well as automation at multiple levels. In addition, GEMS 2.0 will provide on-demand customization and a multi-browser-friendly user experience, building strength from the straightforward and consistent UI/UX design.
