In his address at Session-1 on ‘One Earth’ during the G20 Summit being hosted under India’s Presidency, PM Modi urged world leaders to overcome the “trust deficit” caused by war. “If we can defeat Covid, we can also triumph over the trust deficit caused by the war,” PM Modi said at the G20 Summit.

He also added “This is the time for all of us to move together. In this time, the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ can be the torch bearer for us. Be it the divide between North and South, the distance between East and West, management of food and fuel, terrorism, cyber security, health, energy or water security, we will have to find a solid solution to this for future generations.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the African Union (AU) has been given permanent participation in the Group of 20 largest economies (G20) in the world during the opening session of the two-day G20 Summit. India’s national flag, which includes a wheel with 24 spokes, represents the country’s ancient knowledge, highly developed civilization, and exceptional architectural talent.
The slogan for this year’s G20 Summit, which is being hosted by India, is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which translates to “One Earth One Family One Future.” Notably, on December 1 of last year, India took over as G20 President.
After taking over the G20 presidency on December 1, India convened almost 200 G20-related meetings across the nation to discuss a number of its top priorities. The G20 member nations account for over two-thirds of the global population, over 75% of global commerce, and nearly 85% of the world’s GDP. The G20 grouping includes the following nations in addition to the African Union: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the US, and the European Union (EU).
