Narayana Murthy, a Young Millionaire, Gifted His 4-Month-Old Grandson Infosys Shares Valued ₹240 Crore

According to a BSE filing, Ekagrah Rohan Murthy owns 15,00,000 shares of IT behemoth Infosys, representing a 0.04 percent interest.

NR Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys, has awarded his four-month-old grandson Ekagrah Rohan Murthy with shares worth ₹240 crore.

Rohan Murthy and Aparna Krishnan welcomed Ekagrah into the world in November of 2023.

He is the third grandchild of Narayan and Sudha Murty, who are also grandparents of Akshata Murty’s two children and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

The name Ekagrath was, presumably, derived from several characteristics of Arjuna from the ancient Indian epic book of Mahabharatha.

This is the Murty family’s third grandchild, following two granddaughters born to their daughter Akshata Murty and son-in-law Rishi Sunak.
