William’s WYN aspires to be inclusive in terms of skin tones; thus, it will provide makeup items in 91 hues in 10 various product ranges in the face, lips, and eyes categories. Along with ScoopWhoop, Organic Harvest, and Sirona, this is a new brand addition for Good Glamm. The business is in the closing stages of talks to conclude a $70 million investment round in Series E as it sets up for its initial public offering (IPO) next year.
Content-to-commerce platform, The Good Glamm Group has formed a joint venture with former tennis star and businesswoman Serena Williams to establish her beauty brand ‘Wyn Beauty by Serena Williams’ in the United States.
WYN aspires to be inclusive of skin tones, therefore it will provide makeup in 91 hues in 10 unique product ranges in the face, lips, and eyes categories, according to the brand.
Williams stated, “As I grew and remained active both on and off the court, I needed products that I could apply at 7 a.m. before a full day of meetings, spending time with my children, and doing things I enjoy while still looking good at the end of the day.” I needed makeup that could actually move with me. That is the goal of WYN attractiveness: for individuals to wear it every day and enhance their natural attractiveness.”
According to Inc42, Good Glamm’s founder Darpan Sanghvi stated, “It’s a privilege to partner and enter into this joint venture with Serena, and work with her to bring life to her vision of WYN BEAUTY and create products that truly deliver high performance, synonymous with what she stands for.”
Last year, actor Akshay Kumar collaborated with Good Glamm to establish a men’s personal care brand. Dia Mirza has also agreed to invest in BabyChakra.
The Good Glamm Group was formed in 2021 when three brands, MyGlamm, POPxo, and BabyChakra, combined.
Sanghvi launched the direct-to-consumer brand MyGlamm in 2017, Priyanka Gill founded the digital media platform POPxo in 2013, and Naiyya Saggi founded the online parenting firm BabyChakra in 2015.
Since then, almost a dozen brands, including Sirona, Organic Harvest, and ScoopWhoop, have been bought by The Good Glamm Group.
Inc42’s sources recently informed the company that it is in the closing stages of talks to finalize a $70 million Series E investment round as it prepares for its initial public offering (IPO) next year. The round is likely to include participation from existing investors, as well as some new investors. With this, the group is expected to finish the financing at a valuation of $1.2 billion, which is the same as its previous investment round.
