New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that the Union Budget 2022-23 will establish the groundwork for India’s economic growth and progress for the next 25 years.
“This Federal Budget aspires to set the groundwork and provide a blueprint for the economy over the next Amrit Kal of 25 years – from India at 75 to India at 100,” Sitharaman said in her fourth union budget presentation.

The PM Gati Shakti program will be one of the government’s top priorities in the future years. Roads, railroads, airports, ports, mass transportation, waterways, and logistics infra are the seven engines of the PM Gati Shakti project.
She said the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for achieving Aatmanirbhar Bharat has had a great response, with the potential to create 60 lakh new employment and $30 billion in increased production over the next five years.
