In order to provide the people of Surat with a high-end ice cream experience, the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF), which is well-known for its Amul brand of dairy products, has established its seventh “Amul Ice Lounge” in the city. This is South Gujarat’s first amul Ice-Lounge of its kind.
The world’s largest office building, Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB), hosted the new outlet’s opening on Monday, which was officially opened by Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of GCMMF. Customers can enjoy a wide range of international ice cream flavors created with Amul’s premium milk in the lounge’s opulent atmosphere.
The flavors of the foreign ice cream include Turkish coffee, French caramel, English apple, Persian peach, Belgian chocolate, Swiss chocolate, Jamaican toto, Spanish Tango, Italia Fudge, and California slow churn, among others.
According to Jayen Mehta, “We have this seventh outlet inaugurated in the prestigious Surat Diamond Bourse. We have two Amul Ice Lounges each in Ahmedabad and Pune, one in Mumbai and Jaipur.” “Amul Ice Lounge’s concept is to bring the greatest flavors from all over the world under one roof.”
Numerous foreign diamond purchasers will be visiting Surat Diamond Bourse, the largest office complex in the world. At Amul Ice Lounge, merchants from both India and overseas will be able to enjoy ice cream flavors from throughout the world, according to Mehta.
Mehta unveiled grand ambitions for growth, saying that in the upcoming fiscal year, 100 posh Amul Ice-Lounges would open throughout India. Acknowledging Surat’s potential and need for high-end ice cream experiences, he emphasized the city as a crucial target market.
Amul has a substantial market share in the Indian ice cream segment, accounting for close to 50%. The brand’s double-digit growth rate is fueled by ongoing expansion and innovation. The Product Linked Incentive (PLI) program of the government is being utilized by GCMMF and its members to augment their manufacturing capacities.
“India has a huge ice cream market overall,” Mehta remarked. “The average amount of ice cream consumed by a person in developed countries is 22 liters, compared to 400 ml in India. Amul is committed to growing its retail, production, and distribution networks to offer the greatest ice cream experiences throughout India.
The debut of the Amul Ice Lounge in Surat is a big step forward for the brand’s expansion strategy and allows locals to sample some of the best flavors in the world without having to leave the city.
Mehta stated, “The Amul Ice Lounge is poised to become a popular destination for ice cream lovers in Surat and beyond with its focus on premium quality and an inviting ambiance.”
