Apart from being a successful actress, the Bollywood star also has many startups on her portfolio as an investor including Bluetribe, Slurrp and her clothing range Nush.
Blue Tribe-: In Feb 2022 BlueTribe, a homegrown plant-based meat company raised an undisclosed sum from wife-husband duo Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli. The company’s products are made with pea, soybean, lentils, grains, and other vegetarian ingredients that mechanically extract proteins, vitamins, and other nutrients.
Slurrp-: In April 2022, Children-focused snack brand, Slurrp Farm raised an undisclosed investment from Anushka Sharma. As per the deal, Sharma joined Slurrp Farm’s parent company, Wholsum Food as a brand ambassador and support the brand and its sister companies that will be launched by the parent company.
Founded in 2016 by Meghana Narayan and Shauravi Malik, Wholsum Food, the parent company of Slurrp Farm, offers a range of healthy snacks for children. It is reported to have recorded INR 55 Cr of the annual run rate (ARR) in FY 2021.
Nush-: In 2017, Anushka Sharma unveiled Nush, a clothing line, on the e-commerce site Myntra, in partnership with Suditi Industries Ltd, to make fashion accessible in terms of price and style. The brand name Nush is derived from her first name. Nush’s clothing line was made available in Shoppers Stop stores, on Myntra, and in various shop-in-shop outlets across India.
Digit Insurance-: In Feb 2020 Anushka Sharma and her husband invested $340,000 (about ₹2.5 crore) in Bengaluru-based insurtech startup Digit Insurance in a round in which it has already raised $84 million. As per filings, Virat had put in ₹2 crore and Anushka invested ₹50 lakh.
