Priyanka Chopra won the title of Miss World in 2000. Soon she stepped into Bollywood and made a name for herself in no time. She was just 18 when she participated in the Miss India beauty pageant which eventually was won by her. Desi girl’s journey in Bollywood
Priyanka Chopra made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with the movie The Hero: Love Story Of A Spy. She was cast along with Sunny Deol, Priety Zinta, and Amrish Puri. After that, she was featured in movies like Aitraaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Bluffmaster, Dostana, Kaminey, Barfi, Bajirao Mastani, Mary Kom, Dil Dhadakne Do and The Sky Is Pink.
There was a time when her films didn’t quite go well at the Box Office. People commented that her time in the industry was almost finished, but then came to the movie National Award winner ‘Fashion’ in 2008 which stunned everyone. Chopra scored in this thriller-spy movie which also gave her global recognition. She became the first South Asian to win the People’s Choice Award. After starring in this three-season series, she made her movie debut with Dwayne Johnson’s Baywatch in which she portrayed the role of the main antagonist. She also became the first Indian to bag an Oscar nomination and was joined with her husband, Nick Jonas.
Recently, she was a part of the famous movie series Matrix’s fourth instalment, Matrix Resurrection alongside Keanu Reeves, Lawrence Fishburn, Jessica Henwick, and others. Her critically acclaimed movie The White Tiger bagged a BAFTA nomination as well.

Priyanka Chopra broke into Hollywood music with her international single. She was the first Bollywood celebrity to do so.
