California-based Blume Ventures, Chiratae Ventures, Artha Venture Fund, and Silicon Valley-based Z5 Capital. Founded in 2021, the startup assists businesses in increasing revenue generation efficiency by using AI copilots to strengthen their GTM execution and optimize pipeline governance and forecasting. The revenue operations company wants to deploy more funds to develop its product and expand its personnel.
Clientell, an AI-powered SaaS firm, raised $2.5 million in a seed round headed by Blume Ventures. Chiratae Ventures, Artha Venture Fund, and Silicon Valley-based Z5 Capital also participated in the funding round.
The Saahil Dhaka and Neil Sarkar-led company was founded in 2021 and provides AI copilots to help organizations increase the efficiency of their revenue production by improving pipeline governance and forecasting, as well as go-to-market (GTM) execution.
The Bengaluru-based startup claims to have assisted growth-stage SaaS firms and large pharmaceutical corporations in making data-driven decisions and streamlining their business strategies. Its principal users are the aforementioned organizations’ chief revenue officers and go-to-market executives.
According to ET, “When the world is talking about 10x developers, we’re focused on bringing useful AI products to help 10x salespeople, CRM developers, and GTM leaders,” Dhaka said in a statement.
The revenue operations company intends to use new cash to improve its product and expand its personnel.
In 2022, the startup participated in Chiratae Ventures’ Sonic seed financing project. It obtained a $600,000 investment from a venture capital firm back then. With that financing, the business developed its core AI platform and capabilities by merging generative AI with classical machine learning to give highly accurate insights to decision-makers in a conversational setting.
“We are confident that the adoption of emerging technology will disrupt the revenue operations market. Saahil and Neil continue to excite us with their concept, and early client feedback on the platform they created has been really good. Venkatesh Peddi, managing director and partner at Chiratae Ventures, said he was delighted to be a part of Clientell’s journey and to continue to support them in this fundraising round.
Blume VC will use the funding to grow its AI portfolio. Prior to this transaction, the VC invested in Atomicwork, an AI-powered employee platform, in 2023. The VC firm’s rising interest in AI coincides with a surge in investment in the field.
Vodex, a GenAI SaaS company that uses Al to help businesses build up sales agents, got $2 million in seed money last week from Unicorn India Ventures and Pentathlon Ventures. Since 2019, India’s GenAI startups have received approximately $600 million in financing.
“Clientell is focusing on enterprise sales teams’ lack of comprehensive revenue insight and predictability, as well as leaky revenue buckets. As AI permeates various enterprise functions, an AI-first end-to-end connected approach will enable sales teams to benefit immediately from deeper insights into their deals and revenue milestones – which Clientell’s platform can unlock,” said Blume Ventures cofounder and managing partner Sanjay Nath.
