In order to facilitate mobile payments in the city before the Ram Temple’s consecration event on January 22, Paytm and Ayodhya Nagar Nigam have inked a Memorandum of Understanding.
The great consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22. Paytm and Ayodhya Nagar Nigam signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a few weeks to go before the ceremony. This action was implemented to facilitate mobile payments in the Nagar Nigam area.
The move is intended to provide seamless mobile payment services during the highly anticipated opening of the Ram Mandir in the city, according to One97 Communications Limited, the firm that controls Paytm, India’s top payments and financial services provider and the innovator of QR and mobile payments.
In partnership with Ayodhya Nagar Nigam, the company will use this to facilitate mobile payments at other departments, it continued.
Card readers, soundboxes, and QR codes might all be used for mobile payments. Paytm, a company owned by One97 Communications Limited, will set up Paytm card terminals at cash-collecting locations run by State Nagar Nigam departments.
According to Mint, “In advance of the highly anticipated opening of Ram Mandir, Paytm is delighted to partner with Ayodhya Nagar Nigam to ensure convenient and secure digital/mobile payment solutions for the millions of devotees visiting the holy city,” stated Abhay Sharma, Chief Business Officer of Payments at Paytm.
“As Ayodhya prepares to welcome millions of devotees for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir, we are pleased to partner with Paytm to ensure a smooth and efficient digital payment experience,” stated Girish Pati Tripathi, the mayor of Ayodhya Nagar Nigam.
The Lucknow Joint Commissioner of Police presided over a meeting on Thursday to examine security plans and other routes ahead of the ceremony. According to Upendra Kumar Agarwal, the Joint Commissioner of Police in Lucknow, “People currently travel to Ayodhya via Kamta to Chinhat Matiyari via Barabanki.” The alternate Sultanpur route is becoming less popular, though. As a result, directives have been made to raise awareness of these substitute routes,” he continued.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is among the VVIP attendees at this magnificent occasion. Additionally, 4,000 seers from throughout the nation have been invited by the Ram Temple Trust. Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia, who portrayed Lord Ram and Goddess Sita in the well-known television series “Ramayan,” are among the guests invited to the event.
The primary invitation card, the “Pran Pratishtha” program card, and a booklet detailing the history of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and those who either directly or indirectly contributed are all included in the set of invitation cards for the ceremony.
