CSAB registration for admission to NITs, IIITs is to begin on November 28

The special rounds of counseling will be conducted only for admissions in NITs, IIITs, and
other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs) after completion of all the JoSAA rounds. The
announcement of vacancies will be made on November 27.

According to the most recent update available on the official website csab.nic.in, the central seat
allocation board (CSAB) will begin registration for the special rounds on November 28. Following the
completion of all JoSAA rounds, special rounds of counseling will be held only for admissions to NITs,
IIITs, and other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs).
The job openings will be announced on November 27. The registration period for the special round
will end on November 30. On December 2, the results of the special round seat allotment will be
announced.
From December 2 to December 4, candidates will be able to freeze, slide, or float their options. On
December 7, the second round of seat allocation will be announced. The deadline for paying the seat
acceptance fee, uploading documents, and responding to queries (if applicable) is December 9.
Those PwD candidates whose certificates were not physically verified during the JOSAA rounds will
have to go through separate procedures to have their PwD status physically verified. The physical
verification process will begin on November 28 and continue through the CSAB 2021 special rounds
counseling rounds.
