Digital Dubai signed a strategic deal with Microsoft to create the AI Skills Program which offers training for enhancing government workforce AI expertise. Fitting the Dubai artificial intelligence strategy the program promotes innovation-oriented learning which spreads across all government institutions. The program works as an implementation framework for Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33 by stressing the need for digital knowledge economy development.

The AI Skills Program offers three specific educational paths for students to learn artificial intelligence. The IT Developers Track of the AI Skills Program addresses both basic technical staff building their AI capabilities and seasoned developers among data scientists, project managers, technical experts, HR professionals and business and IT specialists. The second training module within the AI Skills Program is ‘AI for All’ that demonstrates the comprehensive aspects of AI technologies by exploring historical development and existing techniques and future projections and industry-level impacts. Users can access this learning through the Learning Management System platform. Executives have access to the third AI education track that delivers content suitable for leadership roles within organizations.

The General Manager of Microsoft UAE Naim Yazbeck announced his willingness to support Digital Dubai in developing skills that boost the capabilities of UAE government workers. He emphasized this program’s importance to develop digital skills while creating an innovative workplace needed for Dubai’s digital competitiveness enhancement. The program extends throughout one full year to teach artificial intelligence capabilities to maximum numbers of public servants.

Digital Dubai established a complete plan within its digital transformation strategy to achieve three core objectives which include establishing standardized ICT capabilities throughout all government bodies through strategic guidelines and creating better digital education through wider availability and enhanced quality while collecting more skilled professionals to work in the Emirate of Dubai.
