The D33 is a development of the Dubai government strategizing arm, aiming to produce an average of AED 100 billion annually through projects in digital transformation. Council members discussed the ways through which the chamber would add value to this vision, into the direction of creating a fast-paced business environment, which will attract investors and digital entities. This will position Dubai as an international hub to compete over the digital economy.
Designing a Growth-Friendly Digital Ecosystem
One of the prime themes of the meeting relates to council members’ commitment towards developing the competitiveness of Dubai’s digital economy ecosystem. In so far as competition and global competition push up the digital business models, so too are Dubai authorities eager to present a business-friendly environment to attract entrepreneurs from both local and international markets.

Advocacy efforts have concentrated on better regulations, best possible reduction of barriers in entry for the digital business enterprise, and keeping Dubai’s legislative framework agile and responsive to technological progress.
Importantly, the chamber emphasised that there was a need to foster cooperation between private and public sectors. Such corporations are considered important in powering a country’s digital transformation and ensuring Dubai stays ahead of the curve in emerging trends such as AI, Blockchain, and IoT.
Al Olama said the Advisory Council plays a crucial role in guiding these efforts, and reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to strengthening Dubai’s position as a leader in the digital economy. He highlighted the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as a driving force behind these initiatives.
