Empowering the Next Generation of Financial Leaders
Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has launched the Dubai Financial Experts Programme to develop the next generation of Emirati leaders in financial services. This initiative collaborates with the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) to equip Emiratis with advanced knowledge, leadership skills, and an entrepreneurial mind-set to drive innovation in Dubai and globally.

A Vision for Financial Excellence
This entire programme is concerned with the vision of H.H.Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, in empowering its Emirati talent with world-class knowledge. According to H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and President of DIFC, Dubai commits itself to further strengthening its position as the global economic hub by nurturing its national leaders.
The program also serves to support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to double Dubai’s economy in the coming decade and make it a top global financial centre.
Strategic Training for Future Leaders
The Dubai Financial Experts Program is targeted at UAE nationals aged between 25 to 35 and have 5 to 10 years of work experience in the financial sector. Candidates will be selected based on their educational background, leadership experience, and financial expertise. The programme features:
– Specialised courses on leadership and financial innovation in collaboration with the University of Oxford.
– Partnerships in Silicon Valley to provide cutting-edge financial insights.
– Advanced mentorship from industry experts.
– World-class job shadowing opportunities at leading financial institutions.
– A capstone project to implement acquired knowledge in real-world scenarios.
Strengthening Dubai’s Financial Future
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Chairman of The Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Chairman of MBRCLD, emphasised that this initiative aligns with Dubai’s goal of creating a new generation of leaders who will manage and develop key economic sectors.
Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC, stated that the programme aligns with DIFC’s 2030 strategy, which focuses on shaping the future of finance in Dubai.
A Milestone in Leadership Development
The Dubai Financial Experts Program will culminate in a graduation ceremony at the Dubai World Trade Centre during the Mohammed bin Rashid Leaders Forum 2025. Graduates will gain expertise to contribute to Dubai’s dynamic financial landscape and enhance its position as a global financial powerhouse.
