Arun Kumar Mishra, a vitality sector expert, with over three decades of experience amassed after serving different government led public service companies and projects including NTPC, PowerGrid, International Smart Grid Action Network, etc joins EESL. The idea is to gradually shift to energy efficient measures.
Energy Efficient Services Limited (EESL), an energy service company of the Government of India recently announced the appointment of an energy sector veteran, Arun Kumar Mishra as Chief Executive Officer on deputation. In his new role, Mishra is entrusted to head and manage EESL’s activities and operations country-wide. The recent appointment is following former Vice Chairperson, Saurabh Kumar’s exit from the company.
Thrilled on the recent appointment, Mishra expressed his excitement to join the world’s largest public energy service company. He further talked about leading and managing company’s operations with a sustainable approach. The government believes in the emerging potential and competence of renewable as well as sustainable energy resources in India. Mishra plans on driving EESL’s operations under his management towards sustainable energy transition.
With over three decades of experience, Mishra, an energy industry pioneer and leader, comes with ample expertise in the power and energy sector; engineering and power management operations; monitoring systems; transmission projects and management, etc. Prior to EESL, he has served diverse leadership and management roles at a number of companies. Mishra has served NTPC and PowerGrid for over thirty years. In addition to that, he had also been appointed as the Director of National Smart Grid Mission for a project management unit, and Vice Chairman of the International Smart Grid Action Network.
The veteran within the vitality sector completed his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra in 1985. He further pursued a diploma degree, ADIM- Advanced Diploma, Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University.
Energy Efficient Services Limited (EESL), founded in 2009 under the chairmanship of R. K. Singh and K. Sreekant under the Ministry of Power, is a joint venture of NTPC Limited, Power Finance Corporation, REC and PowerGrid. EESL is established with a vision to create, build and implement energy efficient as well as sustainable power projects.
