Ericsson India to ramp up their production to meet the demand of 5G in india. This directly provides employment to 2000 people.
The Telecom giant Ericsson India on the dawn of Monday announced that they are gonna ramp up their production with their Indian partner jabil to meet the needs of 5g deployment in India.
The increase in production will expand the operations with high technology and will also generate direct employment for around 2000 people.
Nunzio Mirtillo The Head of Market Area Southeast Asia, Oceania, and India, Ericsson quoted “As 5G gets introduced in India, we are ramping up production of our 5G telecom equipment in Pune in a phased manner, to support the network deployments of Indian telecom service providers. The production in India is part of our global production footprint with a presence across continents. This footprint has enabled us to secure a global, flexible, and resilient supply chain to respond quickly to market and customer needs, whereby India also benefits”
Ericsson india is also establishing a technology center that will focus on new product introduction and production engineering to secure high-quality standards,
Ericsson India have said that they have experience in setting up 5G in more than 50 countries and they are looking forward to the opportunity for helping their Indian partners to seamlessly transaction to 5G
The Indian Telecom giants Bharti airtel and Reliance jio have chosen to be partnered with Ericsson India for seamless deployment of 5G
Since the auction of 5G spectrum in the month of july commercial launch of 5G is underway in the country.
According to the Ericsson Mobility Report that came out last month, 5G subscriptions in the India region are expected to rapidly increase to reach around 690 million by the end of 2028
