Schools for differently-abled pupils and hostels can resume on December 8, according to the education minister. From December 8 forward, differently-abled kids in ordinary schools will be able to attend classes.
Sivankutty further stated that the state government has approved additional plus one or class 11 batches to compensate for seat shortages in 21 taluks across the state, with 61 batches in science and arts and 10 batches in commerce.
Meanwhile, the Department of Education has decided to request weekly test results from teachers and school personnel who refuse to take immunizations. The government announced last week that 1750 teachers and 500 other employees were not vaccinated, citing religious beliefs and other dubious justifications.
