On International Women’s Day on the 8th of March 2021, at Google for India Women Will event, Google has stated that it will support 1 million woman entrepreneurs in rural India. A fund of $25 million was announced for projects that approach systemic obstacles towards economic equity globally. Mr Sundar Pichai stated that his company intends to initiate a new commitment to assist and encourage one million women in rural villages in India to enhance their entrepreneurship through business tutorials, accessories, and mentorship.
Articulating at the event, Mr Pichai appended that Google’s Google.org — the benevolent potency of the technology gigantic, will contribute $25 million in donations globally to nonprofits and social projects that are accomplishing empowering girls and women. Furthermore, Google.org will be proffering a donation of $500,000 to the NASSCOM Foundation to bolster 1,00,000 women Agri workers with digital and financial knowledge.
