When it first returned to the Indian smartphone market this month, Honor dropped a hint. Also acknowledging his involvement in this endeavor was Madhav Sheth, the former CEO of Realme.
Recently, Honour Tech India made a formal announcement stating that it intended to reenter the Indian smartphone market.
The company is getting set to launch its first product in the country after a period of absence of more than three years.
“Exciting News Alert! Honor Smartphones will be launched soon in India. Join us on this incredible journey as we empower the future with Honor Tech,” reads a tweet by Madhav Sheth.
In 2020, shortly after severing relations with Huawei, Honour stopped operating in India. In the interim, PSAV Global took on the role of being the recognized supplier of Honour products in India.
In the last three years, they have introduced wearables, tablets, and laptops under the Honour brand. PSAV anticipates maintaining its status as Honor’s authorized distributor with the aid of its present retail and distribution network. The Honour 90 model will likely be the first new item the corporation introduces in India.
While the exact launch date is still unknown, prominent YouTuber Gaurav Chaudhary, commonly known as Technical Guruji, has suggested that the Honour 90 might be made available to Indian consumers as early as September. The price of the smartphone in India has not yet been made public.
The specifications for the Honour 90 in India are predicted to be the same as their equivalents abroad. Peacock Blue, Diamond Silver, Midnight Black, and Emerald Green are the four alluring colors that will be available for the smartphone. Customers in India may furthermore have the option to select the Emerald Green variant.
The Honour 90, which was initially priced at about Rs. 28,700, reached the market after being released in China. The Honour 90, the version that was first released in China, has a powerful camera setup with a 200-megapixel wide lens and two additional sensors on its back panel.
The device offers up to 512GB of generous storage as an option and has a stylishly curved 6.7-inch AMOLED display. It utilizes the Android 13-based MagicOS 7.1 operating system.
