Metal Barns India was co-founded in 2014 by Avijit Guha and his wife Jaya Guha with the objective to provide the best PEB Structures, Building Solutions and Services to the SME (small and medium-sized enterprises) in the nation. The company is the culmination of 42 years of experience of various professionals including Avijit and Jaya. Both had worked for several leading and major Corporates in the country. Avijit Guha was born in Shillong, Meghalaya and was raised mostly in the army cantonments. Both his parents worked in Defence Accounts Services.

The deep rooted values of ethics and discipline as the mainstay of the Indian Army helped shape the core of Avijit Guha as an individual. Metal Barns India was formed with innovation and service as the key deliverable to its client. Driven through continuous innovation in product and services, Metal Barns India, under the leadership of Avijit Guha has emerged as a Pan India Services Company and a forerunner in the PEB Building Space in Vidarbha (Maharashtra).

Before founding Metals Barns India, Avijit Guha had a distinguished career. Avijit Guha started his career at the Times of India. He joined CNN IBN as National Head of CRM at 27 years of age. After a trailblazing stint in the media industry, Avijit worked in various lead roles in Operations and Revenue after which he finally moved to head the IR&PR- Delhi for a fund manager called Trikona Capital. Avijit’s wife, Jaya Guha, also a professional with experience in Sales and Marketing , led in roles that required  Large Team handling, as a core competency. She is a Post Graduate in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce. Her assignment as AVP- Star Union Daich equipped her with the stellar proficiency to lead back office operations spread over large geographical areas.

Exposure to international clients, their leadership thoughts compelled Avijit to seek a higher purpose and create a business that could accumulate the collective wisdom of some of the best minds in India and abroad. Avijit was inclined towards the PEB sector, as it was a ROI justified product, helped reduce steel usage in construction and thus contributed to a better tomorrow, while reducing project ROI through less steel weight purchase and less time taken for implementation.

The sector is dominated by manufacturing companies which were delivering factory buildings in volumes. The value to customers was an aspect often subdued due to exceeding large demand and supply equations. Building up a factory is a critical task for the entrepreneurs and could have made a large difference to the viability of businesses more so in the SME category where investments were mostly self / only sufficiently financed. An escalation in cost could easily lead to compromise in the supply chain and distribution channel.

Avijit Guha and his team at Metal Barns India have been addressing clients with exceptional product and services delivery, often solving challenging metrics. Avijit Guha is an advocate of building a business with a ‘Social Edge’ which ensures scalability and sustainability of most of the businesses. Avijit Guha has always empowered his ‘alternate thinking’ for businesses that demanded special attention to detail. Due to his leadership capabilities, Metal Barns India has been enjoying repeat businesses from clients who have appreciated the service based delivery model.

During his seven years stint in the fund management sector, Avijit Guha has learned to work on ideas and products that are socially acceptable, responsible and brings a certain ROI for the clients. Metal Barns India is a well-structured business initiative in transforming the core manufacturing and application based business to an understanding and service based venture. Avijit had the honorable opportunity to work directly / indirectly  on a limited timeline for the Late and Ex-President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

After a decade of successful implementation of the business strategy, Metal Barns India has incorporated a new company ‘Metal Barns Advanced Structural Solutions Private Limited’ with a new factory in a 7 acres campus, right next to the industrial hub housing OEM Manufacturers  like JSW, Esaab and many others to name a few. The new factory will boast of the latest technological infrastructure like robotics that would be efficiently used for providing further Innovative Products and Solutions to clients seeking Qualitative and Innovative Services from PEB Manufacturers.

The new team at the company has introduced several professionals with accolades and recognitions in large scale implementations viz design, manufacturing and operations. The company, under the supervision of Avijit and Jaya, have effectively handled manufacturing and cost innovations. Such a business approach has instilled a great deal of trust in the clients associated with Metal Barns India.

When it comes to education, Avijit Guha graduated in Electronics from Nagpur University. He has an Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering from Aptech and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from Nagpur University. Additionally, Avijit Guha is a Post Graduate in Business Management (Autonomous, Government of India).

There have been several challenges along the way. Although being a client-first company, Metal Barns India have found themselves in uncharted territory in aligning revenue with client demands. Avijit Guha believes that a great company is formed by the united efforts of a great team. In a time of a simple ‘carry and install’ mindset, Avijit have looked forward to making Metal Barns an ‘engage and serve’ company. When we asked Avijit Guha on his vision towards company success, he said, “To me DREAM is about– Dare, Roar, Excel, Align and Make it Happen.”
