MoU signed to boost Dubai Media’s digital transformation efforts.

InfraX and Dubai Media Partner to Enhance Digital Infrastructure

In this regard, InfraX, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA-the digital subsidiary of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC)-has signed an MoU with Dubai Media. Through the memorandum, Dubai Media has been able to upgrade its digital infrastructure through the advanced solutions facilitated by InfraX. The MoU was signed at GITEX Global 2024-the international tech event that took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 14 to 18, 2024. Attending the signing was Eng. Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman and Group CEO of Digital DEWA, and Salem Buti Belyouha AlMheiri, CEO of Content Media, Dubai Media.

Enhancing Digital Competencies

InfraX will offer state-of-the-art technologies to the Dubai Media. These will enhance better logistics and technical operations of media for easy production of media content. Marwan Bin Haidar revealed that the MoU forms part of efforts to pursue the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is a leader under whom anticipation and shaping of the future takes precedence over the current situation.”

Under this agreement, InfraX will bring advanced digital solutions enabling the future of media in Dubai,” Bin Haidar said. “Solutions that will ensure Dubai Media has the trust and flexibility to answer the requirements of modern production and broadcasting.”

This MoU sets forth a framework under which InfraX will enable Dubai Media to adopt the most advanced media technology. This will help ensure that Dubai Media maintains its market advantage through perfect content delivery across the organisation’s channels. “This agreement is a wonderful step towards further developing the technological capabilities of the organisation,” says Salem Buti Belyouha AlMheiri, Chief Executive Officer of Media Content Sector at Dubai Media.

AlMheiri has stated that Dubai Media is always keen to be innovative through continued and systematic development of services and operations through the application of technology, pointing out that “Dubai Media is keen to develop its diverse operations and services by leveraging technology and digital tools, which places it at the forefront of media innovation.” He points out that this deal will allow Dubai Media to realise innovative ways of producing quality content and to therefore set its store as the leading media house in the UAE by extension the wider region.

Supporting Digital Transformation

Solutions developed by InfraX will thus be pivotal in supporting the transition journey of Dubai Media towards full digital transformation. They will thus upgrade activities such as live broadcasting, video production, and content management on the cloud to ensure that there will be effective, secure channels of communication in the departments and with the external platforms. The infusion of best technologies will thus ensure that the eventual aims of Dubai Media are realised with successful delivery of modern inspiring content reflective of Dubai’s present status as a leader in innovation.

This MoU is an agreement through which InfraX and Dubai Media agree to develop digital capabilities in order to keep the media organisation abreast with the wider digital transformation plans in Dubai.
