Rajasthan’s 5G service was inaugurated at the famous Srinatji temple in the Nathdwara village of Rajsamanda.
Reliance Jio has been talking about rolling out 5G as soon as the spectrum goes on sale, and rivals Bharti Airtel Ltd and Vodafone Idea Ltd believe the technology will take at least two years as there is no ecosystem in India and the spectrum reserve price is high.
In October, Jio Platforms Ltd announced that it will work with US-based Qualcomm Inc. to develop a 5G solution to accelerate efforts to bring high-speed subscriber networks to the world’s second-largest wireless market.
Company Chairman Akash Ambani dedicated his service to Srinatji, the newcomer in the Ambani family. “We welcome the launch of 5G services. It’s 5G for Sriji,” said Vishal Baba, mahant of the Nathdwara temple.
“With blessings of Shrinathji, with Jio True 5G service, 5G power WiFi services are beginning in Nathdwara today. 5G is for everyone. So, it’s our effort that 5G services begin in every corner of India & Jio Tru 5G service begin at the earliest,” Mentioned Akash Ambani.
Jio users will get this service for free during the Jio Welcome Offer, but non-Jio users can try this service before switching to Jio for a full and unlimited service experience.
Mukesh Ambani, president of Reliance Industries Limited, visited the temple last month and promised to start worshiping in the state at the temple.
Mukesh Ambani can remember being blessed by the temple Mahant Vishal Baba after darshan in Srinatji last month. Then he said that 5G service would be launched in the state at a temple in Nathdwara.
