Twitter appears to be working on a job posting function or jobs tool on Twitter that would enable recognized firms to post job postings on their profiles in an effort to compete with the professional social networking site LinkedIn.
The business set up a @TwitterHiring account on the microblogging service but has not yet tweeted anything from it.
Nima Owji, an app researcher, revealed the capability on Thursday and wrote, “#Twitter will let verified organizations import all of their jobs to Twitter by connecting a supported ATS or XML feed!”
“Connect a supported applicant tracking system or XML feed to add your jobs to Twitter in minutes.”
The service, dubbed “Twitter Hiring,” is a “free” feature for “verified organizations to post jobs on your company profile, and attract top talent to your open positions,” the company claims in the screenshot.
Additionally, up to five job openings may be added to the profiles of verified firms.
Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, made a hint about this functionality in May of this year.
Twitter was a dating app that a user had suggested, and Musk responded, “Interesting idea, maybe jobs too.”
The new job posts function is now available to media company Workweek, according to its CEO Adam Ryan, and is part of the Rs 82,300 per month Verified for Organisations subscription.
Despite the fact that individuals can already post job openings via tweets on the microblogging platform, the new function may make it easier for businesses to find suitable people.
According to TechCrunch, in May, Twitter made its first acquisition since Musk took control, which was the job-matching internet business Laskie. Therefore, it’s conceivable that the acquisition helped the microblogging platform develop and introduce the feature.
