The Hindu Sena filed a suit in which it asserts that the mosque was constructed by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb through the demolition of a temple dedicated to the birthplace of Lord Krishna.
At least a dozen cases have been filed in Mathura courts by various petitioners. Every petition has a prayer asking for the mosque to be taken down from the 13.77-acre complex that it shares with the Katra Keshav Dev Temple.
The Shahi Idgah mosque complex is thought to have been constructed by the Hindu petitioners on the site of Lord Krishna’s birth. On Thursday, the Allahabad High Court granted an appeal for the creation of a committee to inspect the complex.
Advocate Ranjana Agnihotri for the petitioners stated, “The Court has allowed our plea for appointment of a commission to survey the site,” on Thursday following the announcement of the court’s decision. When the order is uploaded, more information will be released.
After destroying a temple, the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb ordered the construction of the Shahi Idgah mosque in Mathura, which is located next to the Krishna birthplace, which is thought to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna.
Different petitioners have filed at least a dozen cases in Mathuran courts. Praying for the mosque to be removed from the 13.77-acre complex it shares with the Katra Keshav Dev Temple is a recurring theme in all of the petitions.
Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain remarked to the media on Thursday afternoon, “The court has approved our petition that an advocate commissioner be appointed. What are the plans for the advocate commissioner? Who will serve in that role, and will there be a committee consisting of three members? December 18 will see decisions made on all of these matters.
“We insisted that an actual advocate commissioner be needed in order to understand the true factual position about the numerous signs and symbols present in the Shahi Idgah mosque. He continued, “The court has accepted our application.
The composition of the panel that will carry out the survey will be decided by the court on Monday.
The petitioners assert that the mosque has artifacts indicating that it was formerly a Hindu temple. The court agreed to this argument in its order and appointed an advocate commissioner to supervise the survey of the mosque. The court stated that the survey’s mechanics will be covered at the following hearing on December 18.
According to the report, the survey will be carried out in the same way that it was at the Varanasi Gyanvapi Temple.
What does the Hindu party assert?
“There are many signs and symbols of the Hindu temple, and to know the actual position, an advocate commissioner is required,” asserted Vishnu Shankar Jain regarding Shahi Idgah Masjid.
The Allahabad High Court had set aside its decision on November 16 on the Hindu side’s appeal to appoint an advocate commissioner to the court.
The petitioners then requested the mosque’s survey, arguing that the site belonged to Shri Krishna Janmbhoomi and was therefore a Hindu place of worship. Additionally, it has been asserted that during the reign of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, the Shahi Eidgah Mosque was constructed on temple grounds.
