This week is a big day for the indigenous maker of cars – Mahindra & Mahindra, because they are launching the latest and more developed version of its compact SUV XUV 300. For diesel enthusiasts, Mahindra is expected to retain the 1.5-liter turbocharged oil burner with 115hp and 300Nm output. Both motors will come mated to a standard 6-speed manual gearbox with an optional AMT automatic transmission also available. The range-topping Turbosport variant is likely to soldier on with its more powerful 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine rated at 130hp.
New Features and Technologies
Future ready with the chariot (XUV) of 3XO made possible by the Mahindra which is equipped with new features and technologies. Particularly the smart car tech, the OTA updates the intelligent driving assistant systems and the electric sunroof are the much-awaited features from the audience. Safety is enhanced by intelligent emergency brake with pedestrian detection, front and rear programs, as well as ESP (Electronic Stability Program) max. Key rivals will include the Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Venue and Maruti Brezza. With its enhanced styling, features and efficiency, the XUV 3XO aims to strengthen Mahindra’s position in the hotly-contested sub-4m SUV space against strong competition.
