Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will visit India on February 7 and 8 to discuss artificial intelligence (AI) and its prospects. Last year, on his visit to the United States, PM Modi met with key US and Indian IT executives, including Satya Nadella.
According to a MoneyControl article, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will visit India on February 7 and 8 as part of his yearly visit, with artificial intelligence (AI) and its prospects acting as the major theme in 2024.
Microsoft India and South Asia President Puneet Chandok claimed in an internal email a few weeks ago that the tech giant is committed to using technology to generate more possibilities in the country, as seen by Nadella’s visit.
“AI is playing a game-changing role in shaping ‘India’s Techade’ and will make India and South Asia one of the most exciting markets for technology,” the email continued, according to MoneyControl.
In June 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with prominent CEOs and chairmen from the United States and India at the White House. Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, and Tim Cook were among those who attended the event.
Satya Nadella’s office then issued a statement about his meeting with the Prime Minister, emphasizing the importance of artificial intelligence and India’s strengths.
During the conference, Satya Nadella emphasized the necessity of cloud-based services that are energy efficient. He stated that the usage of such technology is increasing and proving to be a “game changer.”
“Cloud-native applications have yet not begun…by 2025 you are going to have most of the applications anybody builds really at that efficient frontier of cloud net,” stated Nadella in an interview.
Microsoft has been operating in India for more than 32 years.
Last year, Satya Nadella paid a four-day official visit to India, where he visited with major customers, start-up developers, non-profit organizations, and students.
During his interactions with senior business leaders at the Microsoft summit, Nadella emphasized the digital necessity for all organizations. He discussed how Microsoft Cloud can promote innovation, drive broad economic prosperity, and accelerate company success in India.
“Our mission is to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more, and we must ultimately measure our success by achieving that mission,” Nadella said, outlining his vision for a tech-enabled India.
He also discussed how organizations large and small throughout India are transforming with the help of Microsoft’s technology stack and solutions.
