MS Dhoni shared his new look for his web novel ‘Atharva: The Origin.’
Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni took to social media to share his new avatar from his upcoming web novel ‘Atharva: The Origin.’ It will be based on Ramesh Thamilmani’s work and will be backed by Dhoni Entertainment. It is said to be a mythological sci-fi web series.
After retiring from international cricket in 2020, MS Dhoni started experimenting on different ideas and avenues, with Atharva being one such example. He shared a short teaser to reveal his look. In the video, MS Dhoni’s animated avatar can be seen fighting the army of demons. The visuals are definitely breath-taking and Dhoni’s animated avatar seems on point.
In one of the interviews, MS Dhoni said,”I am thrilled to be associated with this project and it is indeed an exciting venture. Atharva – The Origin is a captivating graphic novel with an engaging story and immersive artworks. Author Ramesh Thamilmani’s attempt to launch India’s first mythological superhero with a contemporary twist will leave every reader wanting for more.”
His wife Sakshi said that the web novel looks promising and thrilling. As a Managing Director in Dhoni Entertainment , she commented in one of her interviews that the web novel will cover the journey of an Aghori. She further mentioned that the tech team has worked closely on each character which easily fits their purpose of entertainment in web series rather than featuring it.
Dhoni Entertainment was launched by MS Dhoni and his wife in 2019. They produced their debut project Roar of The Lion which was streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.
It will not be Dhoni’s first brush in entertainment and films. His biopic ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ was released in 2016 which became a huge hit. However, this time it would be graphic novels and Dhoni would be seen playing one of the characters. It would be interesting to see how the project shapes up.
On the cricket front, he is one of the few players who were retained by CSK for this year’s IPL. The mega auction will take place on February 12 and 13 and it looks like he will be attending the auction, sitting at the Chennai Super Kings table.
