A new Vande Bharat Express will be directed by the Southeast Central Railways.
The launch of the New Vande Bharat Express will be on 11th December 2022 and is more likely to be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This is the sixth initial installment of Vande Bharat Express which is intrigued at providing a premium train journey experience to Indian travelers.
According to a railway official quoted in the Hindustan Times report, the Bilaspur-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express will function six days a week and will finish one section in around 5 hours and 30 minutes.
“The Bilaspur- Nagpur Vande Bharat train will be inaugurated on Sunday (December 11) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Nagpur,” the official said. “This train will leave Bilaspur at around 6.45 am and reach Nagpur at around 12.15 pm. Similarly, the train will leave Nagpur at 2 pm to reach Bilaspur at 7.35 pm. Currently, superfast trains take around seven hours to reach Nagpur, however, this train will cover the distance in around five-and-a-half hours,” said the official.
The Vande Bharat can reach a top speed of 160 km/h and has the same travel class as the Shatabdi Train but with better amenities. Vande Bharat aims at providing a new experience to Indian travelers.
The Vande Bharat Express is India’s first semi-rapid train equipped with world-class passenger amenities. Higher speeds can be achieved with faster acceleration and braking, and travel times can be reduced by 25-45%.
Vande Bharat 2.0 features more precise heat control and air conditioning ventilation thanks to a more efficient compressor, with ultraviolet (UV) lights to deliver germ-free air. The time for the train to reach a speed of 160 km / h will be 140 seconds, up from 145 seconds before.
All carriages are equipped with automatic doors; a GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, an in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot for entertainment purposes, and comfortable seats. The executive class also has swivel chairs.
