India’s first-ever electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, Ola Electric, has introduced the S1X (4kWh) scooter. The scooter, which costs ₹1,09,999, has a 6kW motor and can travel 190 miles on a single charge.
The new S1X (4kWh) e-scooter, according to the business, is constructed on the cutting-edge Gen-2 platform and can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in only 3.3 seconds, with a maximum speed of 90 km/h.
A range of colors, including Red Velocity, Midnight, Vogue, Stellar, Funk, Porcelain White, and Liquid Silver, are available for the scooter. The first deliveries are scheduled for April 2024.
Furthermore, Ola Electric has extended the battery guarantee on all of its products by eight years, or up to 80,000 kilometers, in response to consumer worries regarding battery health, which is frequently cited as a key obstacle to the adoption of EVs.
For a starting price of ₹4,999, the EV manufacturer is also selling an add-on warranty that raises the maximum number of kilometers driven to 125,000 km.
“With an extended range of 190 km at a highly accessible price point, the all-new S1 X 4kWh is an extremely compelling value proposition,” stated Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder, Chairman, and MD of Ola Electric Mobility Limited in a corporate release. Our free eight-year extended battery warranty, together with the growth of our service and charging network throughout India, will raise the bar for the EV sector and improve every customer’s ownership experience.
The firm stated that it intends to grow its service network by 50% by April 2024, from the present 414 service centers to over 600 centers nationwide, as part of its service growth strategy.
In addition, it has launched a portable 3KW fast charger attachment that can be bought for ₹29,999 and intends to expand its fast-charging network to 10,000 locations by the end of the next quarter.
Ola Electric provides a variety of e-scooters, including the S1 X+, S1 X (3kWh), and S1 X (2kWh), in addition to the S1X (4kWh). These versions cost ₹79,999, ₹89,999, and ₹99,999, in that order. The S1 Pro (2nd Generation), the company’s flagship scooter, costs ₹1,47,499, while the S1 Air is offered for ₹1,19,999.
