“Oil marketing companies have reduced commercial cylinders or LPG gas prices, benefiting businesses with lower costs. Domestic cooking gas rates remain unchanged. These monthly revisions took effect on June 1, and a 19 kg commercial cylinder’s price has been cut by Rs 99.75 from Aug 1. Aviation turbine fuel prices also surged by 8.5 percent.”
Oil marketing companies have made price adjustments for commercial LPG while maintaining unchanged rates for domestic cooking gas. These monthly revisions for both commercial and domestic LPG cylinders take effect on the first day of each month, with the new rates becoming effective from June 1.
As part of the latest update, OMCs have decided to reduce the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders. Specifically, the rate for a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has been slashed by Rs 99.75, and this reduction will be applicable from August 1, according to the reports.
The new retail prices for a 19 kg commercial cylinder will be as follows: Rs 1,680 in Delhi, Rs 1,802.50 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,640.50 in Mumbai, all starting today.
It’s important to note that the prices of domestic cooking gas may vary across different states due to local taxes, and these prices are influenced by the fluctuations in crude oil prices in the international markets. The rates for 19 kg LPG cylinders were last revised on July 4.
In addition to the LPG changes, IOCL has also implemented an increase of 8.5 percent in the prices of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) over July. This adjustment will take effect from August 1. It’s worth mentioning that IOC revises ATF prices every fortnight.
For domestic airlines, the new ATF prices in Mumbai will be Rs 92,124.13 per kg, and in Delhi, it will be Rs 98,508.26 per kg, both applicable from August 1.
