The Conference is being organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology from 29 April-1 May at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru around the theme of – Design and Manufacture of Semiconductor chips in India for the World: Catalyzing: India Semiconductor Ecosystem.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate at 11 am today, the first-ever “Semicon India 2022 Conference” in Bengaluru, Karnataka. 

Three day Conference is being organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology from 29 April-1 May at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru around the theme of – Design and Manufacture of Semiconductor chips in India for the World: Catalyzing: India Semiconductor Ecosystem;  to make India a leader in the electronics manufacturing, semiconductor design, manufacturing, and innovation.

The conference is being steered under the guidance of Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, Railways and Communication & Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology, and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. 

Speaking about the Conference at an event, Minister of State in MeitY Rajeev Chandrasekhar said, “Semicon India 2022 conference will attract best minds from across the world from the semiconductor industry, research, and academia and will act as a big step…… in making India a global hub for electronics manufacturing and semiconductor industry”. Chandrasekhar also informed that the government is looking forward to a number of MoUs to be signed during the 3-day conference forging partnerships and alliances in the semiconductor space.

The discourse throughout the three days of the conference will focus on policy, talent, and the government’s role and efforts in creating a favourable growth environment. 

The flagship conference will be a milestone towards the formal launch pad of India’s semiconductor strategy and policy which envisions making India a global hub for Electronics System Design and Manufacturing. 

The event will witness the participation of 50 global speakers, 100 startups, 300 Global companies, 800 prominent Attendees, and 10000 online delegates, during the course of the 3-day conference.
