Today, April 17, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will end online registration for the joint CSIR-UGC NET, or the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test, for the December 2022/June 2023 administration. The application period for the test has been extended. The previous deadline was April 10.

The application window will close at 5 p.m. on April 17 and the window for fee payments will close at 11:50 p.m., according to the revised schedule. From April 19 through April 25, there will be a window for editing applications. The schedule for the exams has not changed. June 6–8 will see the CSIR UGC NET.
The CSIR-UGC NET is a three-hour, 180-minute computer-based test (CBT). There are just multiple-choice questions on the test.
There are five papers in total, all of which are bilingual (held in both English and Hindi) and cover the following topics: chemical sciences; earth, atmospheric, oceanic, and planetary sciences; life sciences; mathematical sciences; and physical sciences. Candidates must indicate while submitting their applications what instruction media they choose.
