The beginning of this superpower and stylish bikes in the world started with the heroic moves of  Bob Walker Smith and Albert Eadie in 1891. They bought George Townsend & Co. of Hunt End, Redditch which was the well-known manufacturer of the bicycle and had a well-established record of about 60 years in the industry.

Seeing a lot of development and updates one of the stylish supermodels came in 1930 from the 225cc 2-stroke Model A to the 976cc V-twin Model K. New 350 and 500cc side-valve and overhead valve machines with dry-sump. Earlier the model known to be as ‘Bullet’ which was the love of many riders who loved the power of such beauty.

In 1933, The founding partner and managing director of the Royal Enfield company Bob Walker Smith passed away and in that place, his son Major Frank Smith took the responsibility to take this to new heights. The manufacturing of the new Bullet 500cc powered came in 1936 pushing the bike market in a super hot pot and almost every bike lover was trying to get the ride of this bike.

Royal Enfield In India

Royal Enfield is an Indian bike manufactring company and the factory is well-established in Chennai it was earlier a British motorcycle company Madras Motors, but it is now a subsidiary of Eicher Motors Limited. The beggining of this motorcycle can be seen through the action of the Indian Government when it decided to provide these bikes to their military personnel and forces consequently it ordered 800 350 cc model Bullets.

In 1955 the Redditch company made a partnership with Madras Motors in India to form ‘Enfield India’ and started to assemble various models of Royal Enfield. In a strategic move when the company was in collaboration with the Eicher Group, it also started manufacturing other tools like tractors, trucks, and agricultural tools.

With the heroic beggining, the bike company seems to be in the ending phase when the other bike manufacturing companies come into action and this leads to ceased motorcycle production at their Jaipur factory in 2002 and more.

After facing a lack of fame and prestige in the automobile world the bike manufacturing company again came into action in 2015 when it finally announced the new President of the Royal Enfield as Rudratej ‘Rudy’ Singh who was earlier the Vice President of Unilever in Singapore. Seems like his footsteps in the Royal Enfield are like good luck for the company in the name of various updates and stylish of bikes the Royal Enfield successfully achieved new heights and goals.

Passing a long time the company announced its acquisition of the UK motorcycle design and manufacturing firm Harris Performance Products which had earlier worked and developed the chassis of the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cafe Racer. Royal Enfield’s Success is not an ordinary one because it was once famous in 2015 when the company overpassed the number of sales of Harley-Davidson in global sales 2015 for which it received the accomplishment directly from US President Barak Obama.

“I saw the Republic Day daredevils on Royal Enfield motorcycles,” he said when he visited India on its Independence Day celebration, further adding, “The secret service doesn’t let me ride motorcycles, especially not on my head”. When he got to know about the use of this motorcycle in the Border Security Forces he said “I would, by the way, not drive a motorcycle after watching those incredible acrobats”.

The well-established brand of bike manufacturer has achieved global accomplishment and prestigious rewards for being one of the highest-selling motorcycles not only in India but all over the world. The company also defeated Herley Davidson whose former executive Copes, said “I live here, so I am biased.
