SaaS startup Wootz.work raises $3.5 Mn

SaaS startup Wootz.work has successfully secured $3.5 million in a seed funding round, with the primary investments coming from Matrix Partners India and Nexus Venture Partners.

Notably, this funding initiative also enjoyed contributions from AdvantEdge and Mars Shot Ventures, along with an impressive roster of 30 angel investors, including Ramakant Sharma, a co-founder of Livspace, and the visionary minds behind Zetwerk.

The injection of funds will serve as a crucial catalyst for Wootz.work’s strategic initiatives. These funds will be directed towards assembling the initial team, advancing technological infrastructure, and fortifying the company’s footprint in both the US and UK markets.

Established in the year 2023 by Karan Anand and Himanshu Uniyal, Wootz.work is driven by the mission to enhance and simplify the cross-border procurement experience for light engineering products.

The foundation of this objective rests on leveraging cutting-edge technology and assuming end-to-end responsibility for the entire process – starting from design conception to final product delivery. In addition to seamlessly connecting buyers with sellers, Wootz.work takes it a step further by directly linking them to tailored product offerings and innovative solutions. The hallmark of its technology lies in its rapid adaptability, customizing products swiftly and aligning them precisely with the distinctive requirements of each buyer, particularly those within the realm of SMEs.

Karan Anand, the co-founder, and CEO of Wootz.work, passionately stated, “We firmly believe that the current landscape is exceptionally conducive for India and Southeast Asia to emerge as formidable global hubs for the production of light engineering goods. Nevertheless, this opportunity presents a unique set of challenges for SMEs, owing to their scale, disparate engineering standards, regulatory intricacies, geographical separations, and the paramount importance of robust post-sales service. Wootz.work is unwaveringly dedicated to addressing this very need. Our vision encompasses creating a robust and scalable framework that will stand as a dependable, enduring procurement conduit for our esteemed global clientele.”
