Simactricals, a firm incubated at IIT Kanpur’s firm Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), has developed a cutting-edge wireless charging technology that aims to revolutionize the EV sector. Simactricals recently secured 75 lakhs through SanchiConnect’s pre-seed cohort program.
Simactricals, founded in October 2020 by Mihir Mishra and Balaji Sriram, is a developer of wireless charging systems for electric vehicles with headquarters in Kanpur, India.
This firm is dedicated to the development and manufacture of leading engineering that makes EV (electric vehicle) charging more straightforward for a range of vehicles (cars, rovers, drones additionally ). Its goal is changing the EV infrastructure frameworks and speed up the global transition to electric vehicles.
The business came out with its maiden product in not more than a month. Product was a wireless charging solution for data centers of DRDO’s Drones. This method allowed drones to land on specific pads and charge without any cables. Moreover, the self-charging ability reduced the operational expenses.
Simactual’s flagship product is a universal wireless recharge system which can power a range of electrical vehicles, starting from small street-legal 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, and 4-wheelers, and further encompassing heavy-duty warehouse bots, rovers, and drones.
The tech is synchronous and thus circumnavigates the need for battery switching or interfaces that contain many connectors, simplifying the procedure and taking away a major headache for EV owners in India.
SimaActuals successfully managed Rs 75 Lakh through the SanchiConnect pre-seed cohort program, another Rs 44 Lakh funding from the government.
The enterprise under reference has been progressing on five proof of concepts (POCs) with some prominent two wheeler and three wheeler manufacturing companies in order to show off the applicability of their wireless charging infrastructure.
Mihir Mishra, Simactricals’ Founder and Director, stated, “Simactricals is driven by a passion for invention and a commitment to simplifying the electric vehicle charging experience. Our wireless charging technology offers a significant advancement in convenience and efficiency, making it easier than ever for EV owners to recharge. We’re delighted to keep pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the EV sector.”
“At SanchiConnect, we are delighted to promote hardware deep tech firms like Simactricals, which are pioneering sustainable technologies. Sunil Shekhawat, CEO of SanchiConnect, stated, “Simactricals’ wireless EV charging system aligns perfectly with our mission to foster environmental responsibility and drive positive change.”
Initially, the company began by developing its first prototype in a remarkable 45 days. The first project involved developing a wireless charging solution for DRDO drones, which allowed these unmanned aerial vehicles to land on designated pads and recharge with ease.
