The bestselling SUV in India, the all-new Nexon (ICE), was awarded a 5-star rating by Global NCAP on February 14, according to a statement released by Tata Motors.
The vehicle received 44.52 points for child occupant safety and 32.22 points for adult occupant protection.
Following this accomplishment, Global NCAP has rated every new SUV model from Tata Motors with a 5-star rating.
Chief Product Officer of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, Mohan Savarkar, commented on this achievement, saying, “We are proud to earn the prestigious 5-star rating from Global NCAP for the new Nexon as per the enhanced 2022 protocol. He went on to say that the firm is committed to providing cars that not only meet but also exceed customer expectations and put every passenger’s safety first when driving.
In the frontal crash test, Nexon provided the driver and passenger with adequate head and neck protection, according to a company announcement. The knees of the passenger and driver both appeared well-protected.
Six airbags, ISOFIX restraints, and 3-point seat belts for every passenger are standard on the Nexon. Along with other features, the car’s safety package includes ESP, a 360-degree camera, blind view monitoring, and front parking sensors.
Tata Motors was one of the very few car firms in India in 1945 when it was still known as Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company. Since then, Tata Motors has accomplished a great deal, touching several milestones and passing the test of time with elegance.
Tata has gained international recognition as the parent firm of car heavyweights like Daewoo and Jaguar Land Rover. Whether it was with the enduring Tata Sierra, the iconic Tata Indica, or the ground-breaking Tata Nano, the automaker has consistently been able to win over Indian customers’ hearts in addition to winning over the market.
An automobile’s engine is a vital component, regardless of how much value it adds to its appearance, features, or safety. Tata Motors continuously innovates to produce engines that open up new possibilities because of this. The Revotron gasoline engine and the Revotorq diesel engine, two of Tata’s most inventive vehicles, are driving the company’s overall expansion in the passenger car market. Both engine families have advanced significantly since their 2014 debut.
